I’m cycling round France for the next 2 weeks and hoping to include some of the classic climbs in the alps. Training sessions will recommence on the 6th June 2016. I will still be answering messages but please be aware there will be a delay due to lack of wifi or not messaging while cycling.
I’ve now been added to the official list of Personal Trainers at The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill.
Overall, I enjoyed my bodybuilding experience. Although if I had to sum it up in one word it would be Bizarre. I’ll get round to adding a bodybuilding page with some of my observations soon.
With only 2 weeks and 4 days until the stars of tomorrow men’s physique contest, I’m looking forward to it but also quite glad it will be all over soon and I can get back to eating carbs and doing cardio.
I’ve learned a lot already and not the things I expected either. More details to follow but it has convinced me that with triathlon training you really can have your cake and eat it.
WIth City to Summit race behind me the rest of the summer will be working on strength and yoga with the aim of improving my climbing. It looks increasingly likely the Tottenham Court Road PTs will go to the bodybuilding show in November, but I’ll leave it about 10 more weeks before for focusing on that.
This weeks run is going to be an easy paced 6km starting from TCR at 4pm. Please let me know if you are planning on running.
Climbing at the castle on Sunday from 2-7pm.
Running this weekend is going to be at 2 pm on Saturday leaving from TCR.
Here is the start of my training blog.
My main race of next year is going to be rat race city to summit which is a course which I have been considering doing for over 10 years now. The race has only been run for 1 year but I spent some time in the pub with Edinburgh University Triathlon Club discussing possible linear ironman triathlon courses. We originally though of swimming the Forth, cycling to Aberdeen and running to Braemar but the Edinburgh to Ben Nevis was mentioned as a possibility also.
I’m currently on a diet to get myself down to a sensible weight for running 13.1 miles through the sand dunes in Fuerteventura. I’m tracking my food and have realised that I really do eat a lot, I’m not just imagining it. On the plus side after reducing my portions I’ve lost a few kilos so far and my running has started to improve.
Welcome to my website.
